Willy Pleasance is a photographer and film maker based in Brunswick, Melbourne/Naarm. He takes a particular interest in what it means to be human, especially when it can be told through the lens of creatures and characters other than ourselves, such as puppets, animals, designed objects and environments.

Willy's photography practice focuses on architecture, interior design, art documentation, and portraiture. He has a deep appreciation for all forms of design, and loves to translate design language into photography. 

In his film making practice, Willy works closely with musicians, performers, and other artists to create performance documentation videos, music videos, and documentaries. 

As a visual artist Willy is deeply interested and passionate in the ways we as humans, as opposed to computers, make new connections between previously unconnected ideas. 

Willy has also worked for several years in the film industry, on  projects including TVCs, feature and short films, music videos, documentaries, and corporate videos. 

Willy is also a competent and experienced photographer assistant.
